BREAKING!! Complaint against PAKISTAN, BCCI Lodges Official Complaint against Haris Rauf & Sahibzada Farhan for Provocative Gestures
The Rivalry between India and Pakistan took a dramatic and serious turn off the field during the Asia Cup 2025. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has formally lodged an official complaint with the International cricket Council (ICC) against Pakistan cricketers Haris Rauf and Shaibzada Farhan for their provoactive and indecent behaviour on the field.
Once again, a new controversy erupted, but this time it is off the field. According to the reports, BCCI not only accused both the players of provocative and indecent behaviour durring the last India vs Pakistan encounter. But, BCCI demanded strict action from the match referee Andy Pycroft, against both the Pakistani players.
What Sparked the Controversy?
The incident occurred during the high-voltage Super Four clash between India and Pakistan held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 21, 2025. According to BCCI, both Haris Ruaf and Sahibzada Farhan crossed the line of sportsmanship with their on-field actions targeted at the Indian Team and fans.
Pakistan's star Pacer Haris Rauf reportedly made multiple gestures to mock and provoke the crowd and Indian players. In particular, he mimicked a fighter jet on several occasions throughout the game - an incident referencing the past military actions.

He also displayed the "6-0" hand gesture after dismissing Sanju Samson and was making fun of it. Rauf also clashed verbally and used abusive language against Indian openers Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma.

The "6-0" gesture is related to past military conflict between the two nations. Pakistan claimed they downed 6 fighters, but India rejected their claim and demanded proof, which Pakistan never showed to date.
Pakistan's opener, Shaibzada Farhan, celebrated his half-century by mimicking a gun firing with his bat; this action led to heavy criticism after going viral on social media. Farhan later said, "It suddenly came to my mind.. I don't know how people will take it. I don't care about it."

BCCI's Response and Demand for Action
The BCCI did not take these incidents lightly; they immediately filed a formal complaint, providing video evidence to match referee Andy Pycroft and demanding "strict action" against both players for their inappropriate action.
BCCI Official stated, "Such on-field behaviour is against the spirit of the game. Not only has an official complaint been made, but supporting videos of Rauf and Sahibzada have also been attached to the email." BCCI believed that those actions by Pakistani players were intentional and far beyond sporting limits.
