Vivo IPL 2021: Kolkata Knight Riders and England limited-overs skipper Eoin Morgan said that all-rounder Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler will open the innings for the inaugural champions Rajasthan Royals this season. Rajasthan Royals will be led by Sanju Samson who is appointed the skipper of the side this season only.

“Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes will be opening for Rajasthan Royals this season,” said Eoin Morgan in Sky Sports.

Morgan in the conversation with the hosts of Sky Sports said players like Ben Stokes and Joss Buttler have improved their game with time. With more opportunities for these players, they will get better and better.

“If the two superstars of a team open the batting, it’ll be great to watch. But as an opposition skipper I will be thinking we need to start well in the bowling innings,” Morgan said.

England skipper further said that Ben Stokes will bat in the middle order for England national T20I side because England has good players who can play in the top three while the games are won in the last 10 overs, not the first 10.

Morgan will lead the two times champion Kolkata Knight Riders this season. He took over the reins from Dinesh Karthik in the middle of the previous season in UAE.
