BCCI central contracts 2022: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is all set to announce the central contracts of the Indian cricketers for the year 2022. The richest cricket board is likely to reveal the fresh contracts in the coming few days time.
As per the reports, India?s limited-overs vice-captain KL Rahul and wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant are going to get a pay raise following their brilliant cricket showdown in the year 2021. The reports suggest that both the aforementioned cricketers will be elevated to the BCCI Grade A+ contract list.
It must be noted that the BCCI Grade A+ contract list only features three cricketers. Limited overs skipper Rohit Sharma, pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah and Virat Kohli are the only three Indian cricketers in Grade A+ contract.
KL Rahul became India?s vital cog ever since he started opening in the limited-overs format. Last year, Rahul was also given the second opportunity to open the innings in the test format and he rightly proved his worth in gold.
While young wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has also established himself as one of India?s premier batsmen in the last year. He showed his batting brilliance in the test format in the Border Gavaskar Trophy and on several other occasions.

?Obviously, Rohit, Kohli and Bumrah being the three indispensable players across formats would be in A plus category beyond doubt. But now Rahul and Pant are slowly establishing themselves as all-format regulars, so it needs to be seen whether the duo gets promotion or not,? a senior BCCI source told PTI on conditions of anonymity.
The top three BCCI office-bearers along with five national selectors and the head coach unanimously decide the player?s retention in the BCCI?s annual contracts.
TOI?s reports indicate that the BCCI isn?t going to make extensive changes to the previous central contracts list. The present 28 players are likely going to retain their places. However, the BCCI officials will surely deliberate on a few players whose place in team India is uncertain.
Down below is the BCCI?s Central Contract list of 2021:
