Perth Scorchers batted first, and they put a massive 229 runs on the scoreboard with the loss of only three wickets. Mitchell Marsh and Aaron Hardie made a 164-run partnership for the third wicket and led the Scorchers to such a big score. Mitchell Marsh played an impressive knock of 102 runs at a strike rate of 175.87.

Aaron Hardie smashed 94 runs at a strike rate of 218.60. Both the players dominated the game, and Hobart Hurricanes' bowling unit, on the other hand, leaked lots of runs. Nathan Ellis got two wickets, and Mitchell Owen took only one, but the economy rate was above 10.00.
