Sri Lanka won the toss and they chose to field first. Bangladesh came to bat, but their batters were consistently losing wickets, and they were not trying to make a big partnership. However, Jaker Ali and Shamim Hossain played crucial knocks of 41 and 42 runs, respectively for their team.

Both the finishers played good cricket and led their team to a decent total of 139 runs in 20 overs. Sri Lankan bowlers kept their line and length, and especially they restricted the batters to play big shots, which helps them to put pressure on Bangladesh due to the slow run rate. Wanindu Hasaranga got two wickets in his four-over spell for Sri Lanka.

In the Second Inning, the match was already decided that the Sri Lankan Team was going to win because the target was very low on grounds like Abu Dhabi. Pathum Nissanka played a superb knock of 50 runs in 34 balls and gave his team an excellent start with Kamil Misara, who also scored 46 runs in 32 balls.

Both the players set the stage for the finishers to easily finish the game, and therefore, Sri Lanka won the match against Bangladesh by 6 wickets. From the Bangladesh bowling side, Mahedi Hasan took two wickets, whereas Mustafizur Rahman and Tanzim Hasan Sakib got one wicket each.
