In just around 30 minutes and  27 deliveries, the Indians accomplished what they set out to do. The Men in Blue delivered an exceptionally professional display all around and secured a comfortable victory over hosts UAE. In contrast, the Muhammad Wasim-led outfit performed very poorly. They were unable to pose any significant challenge to their opponents. Coming off some commendable performances in the recently concluded UAE tri-series, they entered the match with high hopes, but ultimately, they failed to deliver under pressure. This marks the United Arab Emirates' largest defeat in the shortest format of the game in terms of remaining deliveries while defending the target, with a staggering 93 balls still in hand.

It was only a matter of time before the Indians caught up, with just 58 runs required to seal the win. The opening duo of Abhishek Sharma & Shubman Gill provided no respite to the bowlers, launching an aggressive assault from the very first delivery. Both batters enjoyed a field day against the bowlers, executing some stunning shots that sent the ball soaring into the stands. The UAE bowling unit struggled after a dismal batting display by their team's batting unit, leaving them feeling demoralized. However, Abhishek fell victim to Junaid Siddique, marking the end of their resistance.

Earlier in the game, the Suryakumar Yadav-led tem chose to field first on a surface that appeared to be a bit two-paced nature. UAE's opening batsman Alishan Sharafu (22 runs from 17 balls) provided a positive start to his side, and they did manage to post a decent  score of 41-2 at the end of six overs. But once him and skipper Waseem were dismissed, the home side just couldn't stitch stable- partnerships as they kept losing wickets one at regular intervals. And when the Indian spin bowlers came into the attack, the batters were outsmarted by their bowling variations.

In particular,  chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav destroyed the opposition's middle order, dismissing three batsmen in a single over and the rest were shared by pacer Shivam Dube, who also enjoyed his time snagging three scalps. Overall, it was a clinical demolition job done by the Indian bowling unit as they bowled out the UAE for a mere score of 57 runs, with only the opening batters managing to score runs in double digits.

These two teams have faced each other in this format on just two occasions. The Men-in-Blue delivered a stellar performance in their initial encounter, which took place nine years ago during the 2016 edition of the Asia Cup. Once again, they have restricted the UAE’s ability to settle in after nearly nine years.

The batting duo of Alishan Sharafu and Muhammad Waseem at the opening positions have significantly contributed to their batting. The middle order continues to struggle with consistency, even throughout the tri-series. This is a crucial area that will require significant improvement when facing stronger competition.

They have performed significantly better with the ball, especially with their spin bowling. However, since cricket is a team game, every aspect must collaborate to achieve victory. The UAE should view this as a valuable learning opportunity rather than a shameful defeat. It is a chance to enhance their skills with each match, particularly in international tournaments like this one, which offer their younger squad essential global experience.
