Asia Cup 2023: Gautam Gambhir, Wasim Akram feature as commentators for the Asia Cup gets announced
Asia Cup 2023 is just a few weeks away from now. There were a lot of talks and meetings between the ACC, BCCI and PCB related to the venue of the tournament but ultimately it paved the way for the hybrid model. According to which the event will be played in two countries viz Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
The tournament will be played from 30th August to 17th September. Out of 13 games, 4 games will take place in Pakistan whereas 9 games will be played in Sri Lanka. The tournament will also see the highly anticipated India vs Pakistan game as well, which will be taking place on 2nd September.
With just a fortnight away from the Asia Cup 2023, the commentary team for the tournament have been announced. The broadcasting panel will see legends of the game from India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka as well as some foreign ex-cricketers as well.
From India, Gautam Gambhir, Ravi Shastri, Sanjay Manjrekar, Irfan Pathan and Deep Dasgupta will be doing the commentary whereas Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Ramiz Raja and Bazid Khan will be seen in the commentary box.
Athar Ali Khan from Bangladesh has been given the responsibility to do commentary whereas Russell Arnold from Sri Lanka and Scott Styris from New Zealand will also be seen in the commentary panel.
