Asia Cup 2022-bound Indian players asked to report at NCA for fitness cap by BCCI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has asked all the Indian players shortlisted for the Asia Cup 2022 to report at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), Bangalore. Rohit Sharma and Co will undergo a short fitness camp ahead of their departure to the UAE for the Asian T20 tournament.

Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and the rest of the Asia Cup 2022–bound Indian players will take part in the fitness camp at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) on 20th August. Following the fitness camp, the Indian squad will depart for the UAE on August 23.

Notably, senior Indian players are currently on their vacation after the completion of the West Indies tour. However, all the players will assemble at the NCA on 20th August.

The Men in Blue will undergo another round of training in the UAE before their opening game against arch-rival Pakistan. India will square off against Pakistan on 28th August in the Dubai International Stadium to begin their Asia Cup 2022 campaign.

Meanwhile, a couple of players who are currently on the Zimbabwe tour will directly join the Indian squad in the UAE. The likes of KL Rahul, Avesh Khan, Arshdeep Singh, Deepak Hooda and Deepak Hooda among others will join their teammates in the UAE.
