Anrich Nortje returns as South Africa announce squad for the ODI and T20I series against India

Cricket South Africa on Friday (21 November) announced the South African squad for the ODI and the T20I series against India. After the ongoing Test series, the two teams will square off with each other in three ODIs and five T20Is.

The South Africa squad for the ODI series will be  captained by Temba Bavuma, while Aiden Markram will be at the helm of things in the T20Is. The ODI series will begin on November 30 to December 6 and the T20Is will be played from December 9 to 19.

The T20Is will see the return of Anrich Nortje for the first time since the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Also, Ryan Rickelton missed out on the T20I squad. Also, Lhuan-dre Pretorius, who shone with the bat in the unofficial A series was dropped from the ODIs.

Kagiso Rabada will be missing both ODIs and T20Is due to rib injury. The CSA issued a statement about the same as well and he missed the first test as well due to injury.  This will act as a huge blow for South Africa.

David Miller will miss the ODIs, while he will be there in the T20Is. After heroics in tests, the Proteas would be keen to carry on the good form in ODIs as well as T20Is.
