After a fight with the Kerala board, Sanju Samson set to change state ?Two big state boards contact the batter
Some sections of reports then suggested that not playing in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25 was one of the main reasons why Sanju Samson didn't get picked in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025
India wicket-keeper batter Sanju Samson has been in the news for the last few days. This has been because of his saga with the Kerala Cricket Association and also his exclusion from the Indian squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
It all started after Sanju Samson's name in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25 for Kerala didn't feature, and after that, it was reported that the batter wanted to play, but the state association didn't allow him. Later, the Board came up with the statement, saying that he missed the preparation camp and hence wasn't named in the team.
The president of Kerala Cricket Association President, Jayesh George, came up with the brutal comments, saying that Sanju Samson dropped a one-liner mail informing about his unavailability for the preparatory camp. But later stated that he was available to play in the tournament.
President Jayesh George, while taking a jibe at Sanju Samson, then said that the keeper-batter cannot represent the team only when he wants to. This added fuel to the things even though the response from the cricketer is yet to come on the matter that is going on.
Some sections of reports then suggested that not playing in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25 was one of the main reasons why the keeper-batter didn't get picked in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. If reports are to be believed then it's fair to say that KCA acted as the villain for the team.
Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu cricket boards approach Sanju Samson
Amid all the fuss, a major development has taken place. As per the sources, it is learned that with Sanju Samson having differences with KCA, Rajasthan, as well as Tamil Nadu cricket boards, have approached the keeper-batter to change his state team from the next edition.
Sanju Samson, who plays for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, enjoys an emotional connection with Rajasthan, and hence, the Rajasthan board is happy to offer him a platform to showcase his skills at the national level. The sources claimed that Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) also contacted the batter.
It remains to be seen if Sanju Samson accepts this offer or not. The batter will be next seen in action during the T20I series against England, which will begin from 22nd January.
