The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced the schedule for Afghanistan’s tour of India in June 2026. In this tour, India and Afghanistan will be playing one test match and then a three-match ODI series, where Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are set to return in action again in international cricket.
Afghanistan wasn't able to qualify for the Super 8 round in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 as they got eliminated in the group stage. However, they played quite better cricket as compared to some other teams, but due to a lack of consistent and collective performances, they failed to showcase their emerging talent.
The Afghanistan Tour of India 2026 will begin with a test match in New Chandigarh and will be followed by ODI matches in Dharamshala, Lucknow and Chennai. It’s going to be an exciting and interesting series for both teams, and probably, it will be India’s first international series after the IPL 2026.
