I still have a role to play for South Africa and RCB, says AB de Villiers

AB de Villiers confirms he will not return to International Cricket for CSA.

South Africa’s superstar cricketer, AB de Villiers, on Tuesday confirmed that his retirement from international cricket will remain intact and will not return to the international fixtures anymore. Earlier, the speculations suggested that the senior South African cricketer will come back and his T20 form made the speculations even stronger.

Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Tuesday announced squads for the tour of West Indies which includes two Test games and five T20Is while the squad missed AB de Villiers’ name from the list.

In a press release, CSA confirmed that all the talks with AB de Villiers have come to the conclusion that he will not be featuring the CSA jersey, as the cricketer himself has decided not to step beyond his retirement.

The actual reason that forced the cricketer to take such a decision is still unknown. In the recently suspended IPL 2021, AB de Villiers and South Africa head coach Mark Boucher looked quite optimistic for the veteran’s comeback.
