2024 Bangladesh Premier League Batting Stats, Highest Run Scorer, Leading Wicket Taker: The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) saw two fixtures unfold on Tuesday, February 13th at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. Comilla Victorians took on Chattogram Challengers in the afternoon game, while the second game was between Rangpur Riders and Khulna Tigers.

Comilla Victorians consolidated a second spot in the 2024 Bangladesh Premier League Points Table as they defeated Chattogram Challengers in the afternoon game by 73 runs.

Batting first, the Victorians plundered a gigantic 239 runs in a mere 20 overs in the loss of 3 wickets. Skipper Litton Das contributed with a quickfire 31-ball 60-run innings, but Will Jacks’ innings tore apart the Chattogram Challengers. Will Jacks played a century knock in just 53 deliveries and helped Comilla Victorians post a 239 runs total.

In pursuit of a herculean task, the Chattogram Challengers, started quite fantastically, with their openers stitching an 80-run partnership, however, as the two openers were removed, they got derailed. After losing both of their openers at 90 run total, the Chattogram Challengers could only add another 76 runs to the total and were bundled out by the opposition at 166 runs in just 16.3 overs.

The other fixture of the day saw Rangpur Riders seal another deal in the ongoing 2024 Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Rangpur won their seventh game of the season by 78 runs.

Batting first, the Riders managed to score in excess of 200 runs (219/5). Significant contributions were made by Shakib Al Hasan and Mahedi Hasan, who played 69 and 60 runs innings respectively. Later in the innings, Nurul Hasan played a handy cameo of 32 runs off 13 deliveries to post 219 runs.

The Khulna Tigers, in response to the 219-run total, succumbed to the high run rate pressure. The team could only score 141 runs before getting wrapped up by the Rangpur Riders in 18.2 overs. Barring Alex Hales, who played a 60-run knock, none of their other batters could cross the 20-run mark.

Durdanto Dhaka pacer Shoriful Islam is placed atop the BPL 2024 Leading Wicket Taker’s list with 17 wickets at an economy of 8.25 after playing 9 matches in the 2024 Bangladesh Premier League. Islam is followed by Shakib Al Hasan with 13 wickets at an economy of 6.23.
