[LATEST] Asia Cup SUPER Fours Points Updated After Pakistan National Cricket Team vs Sri Lanka National Cricket Team

After winning the toss, Pakistan took the most expected choice and they decided to bowl first. The decision was in their favor as Pakistani Pacers took 3 wickets in the power play. Shaheen Shah Afridi strikes with his pace and gets both the openers, putting the Sri Lankan Team under pressure from the first over of the match.
Sri Lanka was consistently giving their wickets to the Pakistani bowlers; they were losing wickets because of the pressure of a do-or-die game however, Kamindu Mendis and Wanindu Hasaranga made a crucial partnership of 43 runs for the 7th wicket and put some runs on the scoreboard to defend.
Kamindu Mendis played a crucial and responsible inning of 50 runs in 44 balls, whereas Wanindu Hasaranga scored 15 runs. In the end, Sri Lanka somehow managed to score 133 runs on the scoreboard with the loss of 8 wickets. Shaheen took three wickets, whereas Haris Rauf and Hussain Talat got two wickets each.
In the second inning, Pakistan came to chase the target, but it was not going to be easy for them as they too lost a couple of wickets in the powerplay. However, Pakistan had a better start than Sri Lanka; Sahibzada Farhan and Fakhar Zaman gave a decent start to the team and got out by scoring just 24 and 17 runs, respectively.
After this, Pakistan's middle-order seems in trouble against the spinners of Sri Lanka, but the partnership of Hussain Talat and Mohammad Nawaz took the game away from Sri Lanka. Mohammad Nawaz played a match-winning inning of 38 runs in 24 balls, whereas Hussain Talat stood with Nawaz from the other end to support him, and he made 30 runs.
Both batters led Pakistan to register their first victory of the Asia Cup Super Four round. From the Sri Lankan bowling side, Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana got two wickets each.
