Indian Cricket Team batter Abhishek Sharma achieved a massive feat in the history of T20I cricket. He became the fastest ever batter to score 1000 runs in the shortest of the game in terms of balls faced.
Abhishek Sharma achieved the feat in the ongoing fifth T20I between the Indian Cricket Team and the Australian Cricket Team. The last match of the five-match series between the teams is taking place at the Gabba in Brisbane on Saturday, November 8.
Abhishek Sharma, who is the leading run-getter in the ongoing IND vs AUS T20I series, yet again provided India with a brutal start. He took Australian bowlers to cleaners and slammed them all over the park. He along with Shubman Gill put Australian bowlers under pressure and stitched another fifty-plus partnership in the series.
Abhishek Sharma played an innings of 23 runs off 13 balls with the help of one four and one six. He was looking set for another knock before the match was halted due to rain. He and Gill (29*) added 52 runs for the opening stand inside five overs.
During the course of his innings, Abhishek Sharma became the fastest to 1000 runs in T20I in terms of balls faced. He took 528 balls to achieve the feat and broke Suryakumar Yadav’s record of achieving the milestone in 573 balls.
