Just 4 runs away from his well-deserved half-century, Digvesh Rathee got his wicket. Digvesh was commendable with the ball as he gave just 21 runs in his four overs with one wicket to his name.

Surya Kumar Yadav along with Tilak Verma carried the momentum up but the asking rate was just touching 12 in the last 4 overs. Tilak Verma was not in his full action increasing pressure on SKY and this resulted in Surya's wicket.

MI needed 29 runs from the last two overs and Shardul Thakur bowled an excellent over leaking just 7 runs. Interestingly, Tilak Verma retired out himself and Santner took the stance. Hardik Pandya smoked a SIX in the first ball of the final over but Avesh didn't make that mistake again. He conceded only 9 runs from the last over and LSG defeated MI by 12 runs in the 16th match of TATA IPL 2025.
