WTC Final 2023, India need to register highest run chase to lift ICC World Test Championship 2023: India and Australia are playing on Day 4 of the World Test Championship at Kennington Oval Cricket Ground, London.

Australia was declared 270/8 on Day 4 and gave India a Target of 444 runs, which is the highest-ever run chase in test cricket. To win the ICC World Test Championship Final 2023 in London, India has to set a new record for the highest fourth-innings run chase in Test cricket History. 

The largest total chased by a team in Test cricket to win a Test match was 418 runs; West Indies chased the highest total of 418 runs against Australia by losing seven wickets at St. John’s, Antigua, in 2003.

The Most Recent highest run Chase was in 2021, Where West Indies and Bangladesh played at Chattogram. West Indies scored 395 runs and won the match by three wickets. The Player of the Match was Kyle Mayers, who played a fantastic inning and knocked Double Century in this match, he stood till last and led his team to victory.

The Australian Team scored 469 runs in their first inning, whereas they scored 270 runs in their second inning. Travis Head and Steve Smith knocked centuries in the first inning, and Alex Carey was the leading run scorer for Australia in their inning; he scored 66 runs.
