World Test Championship Points Table [Updated] after IND vs AUS 1st Test | India's Qualification scenario

The winning percentage of the Indian team climbed up to 61.67 following the win from 58.93. In 15 test games in the ongoing cycle of the ICC World Test Championship, India has added nine victories from 15 games so far and continues to strengthen its second position in the points table.

Now the qualification of the ICC World Test Championship 2021-23 Final has gotten slightly easy for the Indians following the opening test victory in Nagpur. India now requires to win two more games out of three against Australia to get a direct and hassle-free qualification to the WTC Final, which will be held from June 7 to 11 in Oval, London.

A 3-0 or 4-0 victory in the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023 will put team India atop the World Test Championship points table dethroning Australia, which would eventually lead to a toss-up between Australia and Sri Lanka for the second spot in the Points Table.

However, if India fails to bring up two more test victories against the Aussies, it will then have to rely on other teams to produce outcomes that would favour India more than them.
