The legendary Protea batter reckons India and South Africa have the best probability of marching forward to the World Cup 2023 Final. The two teams have been superb in their league-stage performance and would look to extend their sublime show in the knockouts as well.

Rohit Sharma-led Team India has been on a roll in this edition of the home World Cup. They are the only side to remain unharmed at the end of the league stage, which ended on November 12. India won nine games on the bounce and at not even a single moment throughout the run they looked troubled.

It has been a miraculous tournament for the Men in Blue, however, their challenge will be to break the jinx of World Cup knockout matches. India has consistently qualified for the World Cup semis, but they have found it tricky to go past the knockout stages.

On the other side, South Africa has shown immense potential with their power-packed performances. They are the only side to have amassed targets of in excess of 400 multiple times in the same edition of the World Cup.

The Proteas finished in the second spot at the end of the World Cup 2023 league stage with seven wins and just two losses. Their two defeats came against the Netherlands and India.

Although South Africa has looked formidable in defending the total, their performance while chasing has been troubling. In the few games they chased in the World Cup 2023, they have looked nervy with their approach.
