Women’s Ashes T20I Series: England Cricket Board (ECB) announces 16 members squad for the T20I series against Australia, which is scheduled to start on July 1 at Edgbaston Cricket Ground, Birmingham.

The Women’s Ashes 2023 includes one Test, three T20, and ODI matches. Australia Women won the one-off test match by 89 runs, whereas T20I and ODI series are still yet to play.

Danielle Gibson has been included in the squad and will be playing the first T20I match for England women’s Cricket team. Danielle Gibson was the highest wicket-taker for Western Storm in Charlotte Edwards Cup. Gibson was included in the squad as a reserve player with the England squad ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 in South Africa.

WPL Star Bowler Issy Wong, who is also made a comeback in the squad, England’s Coach Jon Lewis is very excited to play against Australia in the three matches T20I series.

Jon Lewis said, “Danielle Gibson is selected for the first time England’s T20I squad, she was in Phenomenal form at regional level and has potential to change the game’s momentum.”

“Issy Wong returns to the England’s T20i squad after having a wonderful performance with Mumbai Indians in the Women’s Premier League. We will be playing our best in these three matches and try to entertain everyone.”
