WI vs NEP: West Indies become second team to qualify for T20 World Cup 2026 Super 8

West Indies have made it into the Super Eight stage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 after their third straight win in the tournament. They defeated Nepal by nine wickets at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday. Asked to bat, Nepal managed just 133 for eight, which the West Indies chased inside 16 overs.

Nepal had horrendous start to their innings as their batters looked clueless against the West Indies bowlers. They were left reeling at 23 for four just after the powerplay.

Dipendra Singh Airee (58) was the only one who looked settled and slammed a fighting half-century, while rest struggled. Sompal Kami (26*) was the only other batter who crossed 20-run mark as Nepal managed just 133 for eight. For West Indies, Jason Holder picked four wickets.
