Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bought a young local all-rounder, Prashant Veer, from Uttar Pradesh for a whopping Rs. 14.20 crore in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 mini-auction. With this, Prashant Veer became the most expensive Uncapped player in IPL History, but CSK also bought Kartik Sharma for Rs. 14.20 crore.

Prashant Ramendra Veer was born on November 24, 2025, in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh. He started playing cricket at a very young age and eventually made his mark in domestic cricket. A left-handed batter and slow left-arm orthodox spinner, Veer brings balance to the team as a true all-rounder.

Veer first grabbed attention in the UP T20 League for Noida Super Kings, where he scored 320 runs at an average of 64 and a strike rate above 155. With this, Prashat also took eight wickets at an economy rate under 7.

Now, he will be playing for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the upcoming IPL 2026 edition.
