Who is Andy Flower? The Mastermind Behind RCB in IPL 2025

Andy Flower is a big name in cricket. He has been a great player, a smart coach, and a sharp strategist. Born on April 20, 1968, in Cape Town, South Africa, Flower played as a wicketkeeper-batsman for Zimbabwe. He was known for his strong technique and mental toughness, especially in Test cricket.

From Player to Legend

Flower made his international debut for Zimbabwe in 1992. He quickly became their best batter. Over the years, he scored 4,794 runs in Test cricket with an average of 51.54. He was famous for his ability to play long, tough innings. One of his best performances was in 2000 against India when he scored an unbeaten 232 runs.

The Coaching Maestro

After retiring in 2003, Flower started his career as a coach. He was first appointed  as England’s assistant coach and later became the head coach in 2009. Under his leadership, England won the ICC T20 World Cup in 2010 and became the No.1 Test team. His coaching style is known for discipline, teamwork, and smart strategies.
