Where to Watch IPL 2023?

Last year, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released Invitation to Tender (ITT) for the IPL media rights for the next five-year cycle. Multiple bids were received by the cricket board and eventually, the BCCI ended up earning a whopping sum of INR 48,390 crores (digital+TV) on the media rights.

The IPL media rights include broadcasting services along with live streaming of the matches for the audience. While Disney Star once again bagged the IPL broadcasting rights for the next five-year cycle (2023-2027) by spending Rs 23,575 crore (Rs 57.5 crore/game), Viacom18 signed up the digital rights for INR 23,578 crore.

Interestingly, Disney Star retained its broadcasting rights, but Viacom18 pipped the previous player Disney Plus Hotstar and took control of the entire digital rights.
