The Indian Cricket Team suffered a disappointing loss against New Zealand Cricket Team in the three-match series. The Shubman Gill-led side were at the receiving end of the 2-1 series loss at the hands of Michael Bracewell-led side. 

Virat Kohli  yet again had a magical performance and gave his best in the series. He started the series with a bang, hitting 93 runs in Vadodara. Thanks to his innings, India won the opening match of the series and took an early lead.

In the second game, Virat Kohli fell early, but brought his best in the third match. He hit a sensational century but his effort went in vain as India fell short of 41 runs, losing the series for the first time at home against New Zealand Cricket Team.

On the other hand, Rohit Sharma had a terrible time in the IND vs NZ series. He had starts in all three games but failed to convert them, which came as massive shock. But, he would be keen to turn around things when India plays next in ODIs.

With New Zealand series ending, fans have been wondering when will Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli next play for India. However, fans will have to wait for a while to see them in action in action in Indian colours.

After the ODI series, India will take on New Zealand in the T20I series. Then after that T20 World Cup 2026 will take place and it will be time for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. Having retired from the T20Is, Rohit and Kohli will have to wait to play next for India.

The next time Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will play for India will be against England when India tours to UK in July for white-ball series. The ODIs during that peg will be played from July 14 to 19 and both the players are expected to feature in that series.
