Mumbai Indians pacer Deepak Chahar had a decent outing on his debut for his new franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. He was spot on with the bat and ball during the game against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Deepak Chahar first came up with a brilliant effort with the bat when the Mumbai Indians were struggling to finish on high. The all-rounder played a magical cameo, slamming Chennai Super Kings bowlers all over the park and helping his team post a fighting total.
Deepak Chahar played a solid innings of 28 runs that powered Mumbai Indians to a total of 155 runs, which at one stage looked impossible. The all-rounder slammed two fours and two sixes in his innings, batting with a strike rate of over 187.
After that, Deepak Chahar provided Mumbai Indians with the initial breakthrough as he removed Rahul Tripathi to get things going for his side. The pacer was extremely pumped up as he had some personal revenge going on, especially after he wasn't retained by Chennai Super Kings ahead of the auction.
Deepak Chahar also stole the limelight when he was seen sledging MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja. As the keeper-batter walked out to bat, the pacer went close to him and then was seen telling him a few words and was seen clapping in front of him, encouraging him.

After that match, Deepak Chahar then got beaten at the hands of MS Dhoni. As the team were shaking hands, the keeper-batter was seen hitting the pacer with the bat. The video then went viral on the internet, with many coming up with hilarious reactions.

Coming to the match, Chennai Super Kings won the match by 4 wickets. They had a decent outing with the ball as they restricted Mumbai Indians to a total of just 155 runs. After that, they lost wickets at regular intervals, but Rachin Ravindra and Ruturaj Gaikwad slammed half-centuries to take their team home.
