Chennai Super Kings receive a grand welcome in Ahmedabad ahead of their first game against Gujarat Titans in IPL 2023
Chennai Super Kings have reached Ahmedabad for the tournament opener against Gujarat Titans. The MS Dhoni-led underwent quite a few sessions ahead of the tournament in Chennai and all their hard work will be on the offer when they take the defending champions on 31st March at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
Thousand of fans gathered in chepauk stadium to watch their adopted son MS Dhoni practice. The same story continued as the Dhoni-led contingent arrived in Ahmedabad. The team received a grand reception from the fans, who where present in large numbers at the airport.

The video of their arrival in Ahmedabad was posted on the official page of the franchise on their Twitter account. In the video, a large number of spectators can be seen cheering for the team. Also, the four-time champions were welcomed by the traditional Gujarati dance at the airport.

Chennai Super Kings would be hoping for a roaring comeback after having a horrendous campaign last year. They finished 9th on the points table and failed to get going. They also tried to pass on the captaincy baton to Ravindra Jadeja but the move didn’t work.
The season also might be the last edition of MS Dhoni as a player. The keeper batter has openly said that he wants to end his career in front of the chepauk crowd. With league returning back to home and away format, we might see the last of keeper batter this year. He would be hoping to finish the season on high and win 5th title for the team.
