5. Devon Conway
CSK bought Devon Conway with great hopes last season, but he failed to meet the expectations in IPL 2022. This year, however, he has been in exceptional form. He is the second-highest run-scorer in IPL 2023 right now behind Faf du Plessis, having scored 314 runs in 7 matches, and has been the prime reason behind many of CSK’s victories.
4. Kyle Mayers
West Indies all-rounder Kyle Mayers has been one of the best finds for the Lucknow Super Giants this season. He was also in their IPL 2022 squad, but unfortunately, he did not play a single match last season. In IPL 2023, however, he has played all of LSG’s matches so far and has already scored 243 runs in seven matches.
3. Tushar Deshpande
Tushar Deshpande has definitely been the best find of IPL 2023. He took 3 and 1 wicket in IPL 2020 and IPL 2022, respectively. It was only in IPL 2023 that he made a name for himself thanks to his consistent performances.
The youngster has already picked up 12 wickets in seven matches for Chennai Super Kings this season and is fifth in the race for the Purple Cap. Considering the fact that it was not even certain whether he would be one of CSK’s regular starters this season, this is a huge step up for him.
2. Mark Wood
Well, we know that Mark Wood is a very highly esteemed bowler in the international sphere. However, he has never performed as well in the Indian Premier League as he is doing this year. The Lucknow Super Giants pacer has already picked up 11 wickets and is sixth in the purple cap race. He has a three-wicket haul and a five-wicket haul.
1. Rinku Singh
Rinku Singh had performed well in the last few matches of the IPL 2022 as well. But this season, in particular, he has emerged as one of the best players for the Kolkata Knight Riders. In fact, he can also be termed one of the best finishers in the league as of now. Considering he was always underrated in the Indian cricket scenario, this is a huge step up for him. He is proving his haters wrong in IPL 2023.
Talking about his performance, Rinku has scored 233 runs in seven innings so far. More than that, he has been a match winner for the Kolkata Knight Riders. His performances against the Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bangalore will be talked about for a long time.
