Team India will be seen wearing this new jersey in Champions Trophy 2025

The 2025 edition of the Champions Trophy is not far away and all the teams are busy preparing for the mega event of next year. Ahead of this competition, the Indian Cricket Team have unveiled their brand new One-Day International jersey. 

The color of the jersey will remain the same as the previous one but look wise it has definitely changed. Indian Cricket's Governing Body, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has launched the new-jersey of the Men in Blue on Friday, 29th of September. 

Jay Shah, the President of the ICC and the secretary of the Indian Board unveiled the brand-new jersey at the headquarters of the BCCI in Mumbai. Harmanpreet Kaur, the leader and the skipper of the Women in Blue was also present at the unveiling-event. This new Jersey has been made by Adidas, the Jersey Sponsor of the Indian Cricket Team.

What's the special thing about this brand new Jersey? 

India's previous jersey was completely blue and it had the iconic three stripes of Adidas on the shoulder area. During the 2023 ODI World Cup, those three stripes were painted in the colours of India's National flag. 

This time around, the iconic Adidas stripes are present on the shoulder area too which are white in color, but the shoulder portion has been given the tricolor shade, on which these three stripes are applied. The blue colour of the jersey is slightly lighter than the previous one, but it has been given a darker shade of blue on the sides.

When and where will this new Jersey of the Indian Cricket Team make it's debut?

This brand new-jersey of the Indian Cricket Team will make it's debut in Australia in the month of December. The Women's team under the leadership of Harmanpreet Kaur will be going on a white-ball tour of Australia where they will be participating in a One-Day International and a T20 International series. 

The Indian Team will be seen wearing this new Jersey for the 1st time during the One-Day International series. This Jersey is not just for the Women's team and the Rohit Sharma-led team will also be witnessed wearing it in One-Day International matches. 

The Men in Blue will be witnessed wearing this new jersey versus England in January of 2025. Then a three-match Twenty Twenty series will be played between the Indians and the Englishman.

Post the conclusion of that series, Rohit Sharma and CO will wear this jersey in the 2025 Champions Trophy which will take place in the months of February and March. The Women in Blue are also likely to be seen wearing this jersey in the 2025 Women's One Day International World Cup which will be held in India.
