The Board of Control for Cricket in India has confirmed the hectic schedule of Team India for the Year 2021. The COVID-19 interruption has forced BCCI to take such strenuous steps for the men in Blues. BCCI made it clear that it will honor all the canceled series and fixtures due to the pandemic.

Virat Kohli and Co. will play 12 months in a year to complete all the commitments made by the BCCI. However, the board admits, there will be a workload and playing all months is not easy. 

We are aware of the workload on the players. BCCI is obligated to honor the pending commitments. We have enough talent on the bench and will make sure enough rest is given to the players ahead of any series. The rotation policy will surely play its part in the next 12  months.

Team India schedule for next 12 months Cricket in the year 2021:

Team India will play 7 series in the next 12 months after the tour of Australia 2020-21 keeping aside the Aisa Cup, Indian Premier League, and T20 World Cup 2021.

England Tour Of India 2021 (January- March):

India will host the England Cricket Team from January till March after the conclusion of the India tour of Australia. England and India will play 4 Tests, 4 ODIs, and 4 T20I in the tour.

Indian Premier League 2021 (March-May):

BCCI will host the Indian Premier League between March and May 2021. The player will be scheduled with their respective franchise. BCCI is likely to conduct a Mega Auction, so a lot of shuffling of players will be seen. It will be hard for players to jell in with the new franchises.

India Tour of Sri Lanka 2021 (June):

Team India will visit Sri Lanka for the limited-over series ahead of Asia Cup 2021. Sri Lanka and India will play 3 ODIs and 5 T20I in the run of the month in June.

Asia Cup 2021 (June-July):

The Asia Cup is scheduled to be conducted in June-July 2021. Sri Lanka will host the tournament in 2021. This will be a long series as all the Asian countries will take part. India will feel comfortable as they will play against Sri Lanka in the same month.

India Tour of Zimbabwe 2021 (July):

After the wrap of Asia Cup 2021 in Sri Lanka, Team India will fly to Zimbabwe for the 3 ODIs. BCCI will rest the senior players and will give more opportunities to the young player to jell in with the conditions of the African nation.

India will fly to England 2021 (July-September):

England will host team India in July for the exhausting five-match test series. The five-match Test series will take 2 months to conclude and will be tiring and important at the same time, as it will be counted in World Test Championship.

South Africa will visit India in 2021 (October):

India and South Africa will play 3 ODIs and 5 T20I on the tour. The series with South Africa will be crucial for both teams as it will be the final series before the World Cup T20I. Teams will leave no stone unturned to win the series.

T20 World Cup 2021 (October-November):

BCCI will host the T20 World Cup 2021 in October. This will be a long tournament as all the cricketing countries will come in and play. This tournament will last for at least 2 months.

New Zealand tour of India 2021 (November-December):

After hosting South Africa and T20 World Cup India will host New Zealand. The Black Caps army will fly to India in November for two test matches and three T20Is. 

India tour of South Africa 2021 (December):

After the hectic and tiring 11 months, India will fly to South Africa in December 2021. Both the sides will three-match test series and three-match T20I series to end the year.
