Singh has scalped 150 wickets in 163 matches for various franchises.



However, the fact that the cricketer has not been able to go past the likes of young spinners who show more promising signs to the franchises nowadays.



In the presence of the likes of Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine, the KKR management is unlikely to give matches to the veteran spinner.



The fourteenth season of the IPL, which will be finalised in the UAE, looks final for the Indian tweaker, Harbhajan Singh.

CSK traded in the cricketer from Rajasthan Royals (RR) ahead of the IPL 2021 auctions, but Uthappa has not featured in a single game for CSK in IPL 2021.



Uthappa has not been able to breach the 400 runs mark since IPL 2014. In the last IPL edition, which was also held in the UAE, Robin managed to score mere 196 runs in 12 matches for Rajasthan Royals.



With more young players stepping forward for each franchise in the IPL, the management is unlikely to give preference to him.

His IPL 2020 records are not encouraging either. He amassed 200 runs in 14 matches.



Moreover, earlier he said after his retirement from cricket, he wants to serve the Indian Army, for which he requires a certain minimum fitness (he is fit already, but the age factor comes to play).



The cricketer also would not want to join the Army after, say 5 years from here, by then he will be 45 already.



The fourteenth season of the IPL may be his last league appearance, however, the cricket might continue coaching role in CSK.

Vivo IPL 2021: The newly rebranded Punjab Kings (PBKS) has faced yet another setback after star cricketer Chris Gayle?s pull off from the tournament. Gayle has opted to leave the proceedings of the Vivo IPL 2021 due to excessive bubble fatigue, PBKS informed on Thursday.



The Universe Boss played two matches of PBKS in the second leg in which he scored 14 and 1 respectively. The PBKS management has supported Gayle?s decision to take an immediate break. Anil Kumble, Director of Cricket Operations PBKS, said that the team respects the decision of the cricketer and will support him.



"I've played against Chris and have coached him at Punjab Kings and all through the years I've known him he has always been an absolute professional and we as a team respect his decision and desire to prepare himself for the T20 World Cup," Anil Kumble, Director of Cricket Operations, said.



The KL Rahul-led PBKS has managed to get authority on four matches out of 11 played. The team is placed in sixth place with eight points on the scoreboard.

The cricketer on October 3 completed his 7000 T20 runs and to complete this achievement he surpassed the likes of Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle.



Babar Azam took 187 innings to breach the 7000 T20 runs milestone which is the fastest in the history of T20 cricket. Earlier, West Indies dashing cricketer Chris Gayle held the record in 192 innings while Virat Kohli was second on the list with 212 T20 innings.



The record includes the collective runs scored in the franchise cricket, played all across the world, and the ICC Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).



The Pakistani cricketer has featured in several franchise cricket leagues which include Pakistan Super League, Bangladesh Premier League, Caribbean Premier League and England?s Vitality Blast. Across all these T20 leagues, Babar has amassed 3,058 runs from? 83 matches. The rest of his T20 runs have come from the T20I cricket for Pakistan. He has plundered 2,204 runs from 61 T20I innings.

"We're going to play three ODIs against Ireland in the second week of January and then one T20 at Sabina Park and I think that would, hopefully, if fans are allowed into Sabina Park a good opportunity for us to say farewell to Chris at his home ground," Grave told a radio station recently.?

Former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Sam Curran has opted out of the IPL 2022 owing to his shares of injuries. While playing in the second phase of the IPL 2021, Curran complained of some back issues.



The later scans revealed that the southpaw has sustained a stress fracture and will have to miss a few tournaments to recuperate well. Owing to the injury, Curran was omitted from England?s Ashes squad.

The kiwi lanky all-rounder Kyle Jamieson has also stepped back from featuring in the IPL 2022 Mega auction.



Jamieson was part of the RCB squad in the IPL 2021. The all-rounder was bagged by RCB for a massive INR 15 Crores. It won?t be wrong to say that Jamieson failed to justify the price tag associated with him.

Christopher Henry Gayle, the name that haunts several bowlers in the cricket field. Arguably one of the best T20 batters of all time, Chris Gayle is no longer looking to make his appearance in the biggest T20 extravaganza.



The Universe Boss has opted out of the IPL 2022. The proper reasons for his exclusions are not given, but the experts believe a decline in Gayle?s T20 form could be the predominant reason for his decision.

Following the similar pattern which Joe Root followed, England ace all-rounder Ben Stokes has also closed his doors of featuring in the IPL 2022. Despite getting hefty contracts in the previous editions of the IPL, Ben Stokes has opted to not feature in the cash-rich IPL.



The reasoning for Stokes? decision is pretty simple. The cricketer wants to focus on his red-ball cricket, which hasn?t yielded fruitful results in the recent past. England lost the Ashes 2021-22 to Australia by a massive 0-4 margin.



Ben Stokes? performance in the all-important series was concerning as he couldn?t provide valuable support to his captain.



He along with Joe Root has decided to focus on rebuilding England?s test side following an upsetting show.

And towards the end, the epitome of brilliance and flamboyance, AB de Villiers will also be missed in the IPL. The South African cricketer has taken all format retirement and will no longer be a part of the playing group of any team.



His decision came as a shocker for his fans. Following the completion of the IPL 2021, de Villiers announced his retirement.



The former RCB cricketer will be missed a lot. He has left a legacy behind and there is no one who can take that forward.
