T20 World Cup 2026 Schedule Out! India Starts vs USA, India-Pakistan Showdown on February 15
The schedule for the 2026 T20 World Cup, to be jointly hosted by Sri Lanka & India, has been unveiled. The tournament will begin from the 7th of February onwards. This year's tournament is similar to the previous one. All 20 qualifying teams have been divided into four groups. Each team will play a total of four matches in the group-stage phase. The top two teams in the group stage will advance to the Super eight phase, where they will be divided into two groups of four teams each. The top two teams in the Super Eight will qualify for the semis.
It's likely that if India reaches the Super - eight stage, all of their Super-eight matches will be held in Ahmedabad, Chennai, and Kolkata. If they reach the semi-finals, the 1st semi-final game is slated to be held in Kolkata while the second semi will be hosted by the city of Colombo. However, if Pakistan qualifies for the summit clash, then the most important match will be played in Colombo.
Pakistan will play all of their matches of the Twenty-Twenty World Cup in Sri Lanka. The Men in Blue are the reigning-champions, having won the 2024 T20 World Cup by emerging victorious over South Africa in the final. In the history of the T20 World Cup, no team has won the title at home. Furthermore, no team has ever defended its title.

Group B: Zimbabwe, Australia, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Oman.
Group C: Italy, West Indies, England, Bangladesh & Nepal.

India, the United States, the Netherlands, Namibia & Pakistan have all been placed in the same Group-A. India will kick off their T20 World Cup campaign versus the United States on the 7th of February in Mumbai.
