India registered a dominant win over Pakistan in their third game of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. The match between the two arch-rivals took place at R Premdasa Stadium in Colombo, where India extended their dominance, winning by 61 runs. Asked to bat, India posted a total of 175 for seven, and bundled out Pakistan for 114

India had a poor start as Pakistan captain Salman Agha’s bluff to bowl the first over paid off as Abhishek Sharma bagged his second duck of the tournament. However, Ishan Kishan (77) completely changed the game as he slammed Pakistan bowlers all over the park, hitting a brutal half-century.

He added 88 runs partnership with Tilak Varma (25), who contributed just 11 in the partnership. Captain Sueyakumar Yadav (32) played a vital hand, but Pakistan spinners made life difficult for Indian batters in the middle.

However, Shivam Dube (27) and Rinku Singh, who scored 11*, finished the innings on a high that helped India post a total of 175 for seven on a tough track. For Pakistan, Saim Ayub picked up three wickets.

Pakistan looked clueless right from the start in the chase. Sahibzada Farhan got out in the first over and the batters kept following him. Jasprit Bumrah, in the second over, picked two. After that, spinners took charge as Pakistan were left reeling at 34 for four.

Usman Khan (44) looked the only settled batter as he entertained fans, but didn’t get the good support from the other end. Shaheen Afridi (23*) got stranded at the other end as Pakistan got all out for 114, losing by 61 runs.
