T20 World Cup 2026 points table after match 12, PAK vs USA

PAK vs USA took place in Colombo.

Pakistan are up and running in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 as they registered their second straight win of the tournament. After beating the Netherlands, they defeated the USA by 32 runs at the Sinhalese Sports Club, Colombo. Asked to bat, Pakistan posted a massive total of 190 for nine, and then restricted the USA to 158 for eight.

Pakistan were off to a flyer with Saim Ayub (19) and Sahibzada Farhan (73) taking on USA bowlers right from the start. The duo added 51 runs for the opening stand, but the USA was quick to make a comeback, picking two early wickets.

However, it was Babar Azam (46) and Farhan who did the bulk of the scoring in middle-overs, adding 81 runs for the third wicket with Farhan hitting his second consecutive half-century of the tournament.

At the end, Shadab Khan (30) with his cameo ensured that Pakistan finished innings on a high as they posted 190 for nine. For the USA, Shadley van Schalkwyk picked a four-fer.

The USA also had a decent start to their innings with Andries Gous (13) and Shayan Jahangir (49) adding 42 runs for the opening stand. But then three quick wickets put them on the back foot before Milind Kumar (29) and Shubman Ranjane (51) brought them back with their 54-run stand.

Usman Tariq then changed the course of the game for Pakistan with his three quick wickets. The Men in Green restricted the USA to 158 for eight and completed a 32-run win.
