Suryakumar Yadav is the talk of the town today in world cricket. Said to be one of India’s very own 360-degree players by several experts, Suryakumar Yadav has taken time to prove his worth. He started his IPL career with KKR as a finisher but it was the Mumbai Indians that took out the pure batsman in him. Mumbai promoted him as a top-order batsman and since the Suryakumar Yadav has been on a roll. He also has been titled the Indian Michael Hussey since he debuted at the age of 30. But even after getting his shot late, Suryakumar is very highly rated.  

Suryakumar Yadav Family: – 

Suryakumar Yadav is the son of Ashok Yadav and Swapna Yadav. His father was an electrical working professional in BARC. The information whether Suryakumar Yadav has any siblings is not present. Most probably he is their parent’s only kid. Suryakumar Yadav’s spouse is Devisha Shetty to whom he got married in the year 2016. Suryakumar Yadav currently doesn’t have any successors. His father was an electrical engineer who migrated to Mumbai to work for BARC, a government firm. His parents supported his career choices. 

Suryakumar Yadav Early life: – 

Born on 14^th September 2021, Suryakumar was born in Mumbai itself. Suryakumar Yadav and his family migrated to Mumbai from Varanasi for his father’s job. His father worked in BARC and supported Suryakumar’s choice of playing cricket. His mother was a homemaker and they lived in the government allotted quarters in Anushaktinagar, Chembur, Mumbai. He went to the Atomic Energy Central School in the Anushaktinagar itself. Further, he went to the same institution’s junior college for completing formal education. He then achieved his Bachelor of Commerce from the Pillai college affiliated with Mumbai University.  

Suryakumar Yadav Early Career: – 

Suryakumar Yadav played for long hours in the early stage of his cricketing career. He started his hustle at the grounds of Mumbai from the age of 10. His father once witnessed playing cricket in the local streets and enrolled him for coaching the very next day. His coaches were Vinod Yadav, Chandrakant Pandit, and HS Kamath. From the Shivaji Park, Cross Maidan to the Azad Maidan, Suryakumar played on all of the iconic grooming grounds for young cricketers.  

Suryakumar Yadav made his debut for the Mumbai Ranji Team in the 2011-2012 season in a game against Delhi. He scored 73 runs in the first innings and since then has been a regular feature in the squad of Mumbai. He was picked in Mumbai Indians in 2012 where he played 1 game and he was out for a duck. Later Suryakumar Yadav was traded to the Kolkata Knight Riders. He played for Kolkata Knight Riders from 2013 to 2017 and helped them to grab the IPL title in 2014. He played as a finisher and made sure to grab many eyeballs. 

Suryakumar Yadav Senior Career: – 

SKY as he is called by all of his teammates changed his career in the 2018 season. In 2018 he started to bat up the order for the Mumbai Indians. He piled the runs on and on. He finished three consecutive seasons with 450 runs or more. Following his performance, he was expected to be selected for India’s tour of Australia in 2020 but that wasn’t the case. Suryakumar on the other hand was playing the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Cup and the Vijay Hazare One Day Cup as the Mumbai Skipper. He was making a mockery of the bowlers in 2019 and 2020 as well. One can never forget his innings against Pondicherry in the game in the Vijay Hazare cup alongside Prithvi Shaw where he scored 133 of just 58 balls.  

Suryakumar Yadav was then picked for the England and India series in India at the start of 2021. His selection was done for only the white-ball teams. Surya then got the opportunity of his life in the 2^nd T20 at the newly constructed Narendra Modi stadium. Unfortunately, he did not get the opportunity to bat. He got the opportunity in the 3^rd T20 and his first international runs were of a six! It was Suryakumar Yadav’s trademark hook cum ramp shot that went for six over fine leg! Suryakumar Yadav had arrived at the great stage in style. He was nonchalant and calm chewing gum and showing his swag.
