IPL 2022: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) to retain Kane Williamson in IPL 2022 as well.

IPL 2022: The Sun group operated Indian  Premier League (IPL) franchise, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) is highly unlikely to behave similarly to their skipper as they did with David Warner during the IPL fourteenth season.

A bitter fallout of star batsman David Warner with his IPL franchise during the IPL 2021 confirmed the exit of the cricketer from the franchise in the coming seasons. Warner was first sacked from his IPL captaincy and then later altogether removed from the playing11.

However, Warner replying to his fan on social media hinted at the retention of skipper Kane Williamson in the franchise. While all the franchises are yet to announce their confirmed four retentions, Williamson is in all likelihood to serve the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for the coming few years.

Replying to his fan on Instagram, Warner wrote, “@yaazey6 make sure you keep supporting as my friend Kane will still be there please.”

SRH was the first team in the IPL 2021 to get knocked out at the earliest. The franchise studded with the likes of Kane Williamson, David Warner, BHuvenshwar Kumar, Rashid Khan, Jason Holder and others could only manage to win three matches out of 14 they played in the season.

The dismal campaign from the franchise had several points to talk about for the experts. During the first seven matches, which was held in India, SRH went on to win just a solitary game, while the latter two wins came in the second leg which was held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) after the cash-rich tournament was postponed of the fear of covid.

Though the confirmed retention list is not yet released by SRH, the experts and sources who have a close ear reckon that Williamson along with Rashid Khan will be their first choice two retentions.
