Sri Lanka vs England ODI series: Squads, schedule & more

The Sri Lanka Cricket Team have announced their squad for the ODI series against the England Cricket Team. The two teams will be locking horns with each other in the three-match series, beginning from January 22 at the RPICS Stadium in Colombo.

Sri Lanka will be captained by Charith Asalanka in the three-match ODI series against England. There are no surprises in the side as many as 14 players who featured in their last ODI series against Pakistan have retained their places in the side.

Some of the notable players in the Sri Lanka squad include Dhananjaya de Silva, Dunith Wellalage and Milan Rathnayake. They have also named a strong batting lineup, which features Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis, Kamil Mishara and Sadeera Samarawickrama, while the middle order also includes Kamindu Mendis and Janith Liyanage.

In the bowling department, Sri Lanka has named Asitha Fernando, Pramod Madushan and Eshan Malinga. Their spin department also features some big names in Wanindu Hasaranga, Maheesh Theekshana and Jeffrey Vandersay and all-rounder Dunith Wellalage.

On the other hand, England has also named their squad for the series, which will be captained by Harry Brook. Zak Crawley is back in the team. Tom Baton and Jos Buttler will be the two keepers and will bat in the middle. 

England have a lot of all-rounders in Jacob Bethell, Brydon Carse, Sam Curran, Liam Dawson, Will Jacks and Jamie Overton. While, the pace bowling department also has some big names.
