Australian opener David Warner shattered a massive record of great Sachin Tendulkar in the ODIs. The veteran batter now has the most number of centuries as an opener in the 50-over format. He has 46 hundreds to his name whereas Tendulkar had 45.

David Warner achieved the feat in the recently concluded second ODI against South Africa. The southpaw smashed a brilliant ton and helped his side win the game. He was under scanner for a while because of his poor form of late. But he regained his touch just ahead of the ICC World Cup 2023, which is a great sign.

David Warner looked in complete touch and played some crisp shots during his innings. The opening batter scored 106 runs off 93 balls. He batted with a strike rate of 113.98 and smashed 12 fours and 3 sixes in his innings. He gave Australia a fiery start and stitched 109 runs opening partnership with Travis Head.

David Warner will be extremely crucial for Australia going into the ICC World Cup 2023. If he fires then Australia will be red-hot favourites to win the tournament. The Australian opener has broken many records and is still going strong. With the way he’s batting some records will be under danger.
