Earlier, on Saturday Rajasthan Royals (RR) all rounder Andrew Tye flew back home due to mounting covid-19 cases from India in his hometown Perth.
Rajasthan Royals (RR) Director of Cricket Operations Kumar Sangakkara after the win against KKR informed the franchise that Tye will be leaving early in the morning on Sunday.
?There were a number of reasons, but the main one was with the situation that has started to happen back home in Perth with a lot of cases in hotel quarantine coming out of India,? Tye told ?SEN radio? from Doha on Monday. ?Now there?s been a community case in Perth governments are trying to restrict numbers coming back in, especially Western Australia.?
With over 3 Lakhs covid-positive cases per day in India, all the major countries are imposing harsh restrictions on travel from India. The UK and New Zealand have put a travel ban from India. While, the Australian government has reduced Indian flights by 30 per-cent.
