Vivo IPL 2021: RCB’s Adam Zampa and Kane Richardson pulls out of IPL 2021 due to personal reasons.

Vivo IPL 2021: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Australian cricketers Adam Zampa and Kane Richardson have withdrawn their names from the remainder of the fourteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Both the cricketers cited “personal reasons” as they flew back home on Monday, confirmed RCB.

“Adam Zampa & Kane Richardson are returning to Australia for personal reasons and will be unavailable for the remainder of IPL season. Royal Challengers Bangalore offers complete support to them in all the possible way we can,” RCB said in a statement.

Tweaker Adam Zampa was bought by RCB for a whopping INR 1.5 Crores while the franchise had to spend INR 4 Crores to acquire the services of Kane Richardson in the IPL 2021.

Earlier, on Saturday Rajasthan Royals (RR) all rounder Andrew Tye flew back home due to mounting covid-19 cases from India in his hometown Perth.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) Director of Cricket Operations Kumar Sangakkara after the win against KKR informed the franchise that Tye will be leaving early in the morning on Sunday.

“There were a number of reasons, but the main one was with the situation that has started to happen back home in Perth with a lot of cases in hotel quarantine coming out of India,” Tye told ‘SEN radio’ from Doha on Monday. “Now there’s been a community case in Perth governments are trying to restrict numbers coming back in, especially Western Australia.”

With over 3 Lakhs covid-positive cases per day in India, all the major countries are imposing harsh restrictions on travel from India. The UK and New Zealand have put a travel ban from India. While, the Australian government has reduced Indian flights by 30 per-cent.
