Vivo IPL 2021: RCB skipper Virat Kohli arrives in Chennai for the Vivo IPL 2021.

Vivo IPL 2021: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli on Thursday joined the RCB contingent in Chennai for the forthcoming fourteenth edition of the Indian Premier League. Virat Kohli led RCB will face defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) in the tournament opener on 09th April to kickstart their campaign.

Earlier in the day, Mr 360 AB de Villiers also arrived in Chennai to join the rest of the squad.

RCB official Twitter handle informed fans saying, “If you thought we were done breaking the internet for the day, think again! Captain Virat Kohli has arrived in Chennai.” 

Virat Kohli led India to a successful home series against England. Team India clean swept England, winning all three formats of cricket.

The four games Test series was won by India by 3-1 post which five games T20I series clinched by India 3-2 and to wrap the tour, three games ODI series bagged by 2-1.

Virat Kohli had a brilliant T20I series with the bat scoring most of the runs for India in the tournament. He scored 231 runs striking at 147.

Virat will try to replicate the same for RCB or do even better to bag their maiden IPL title. 

After opening the innings with Rohit Sharma in the final T20I, Virat announced that he will open for RCB too. This way he will get more time to bat on and score massive runs.

Apart from Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers, Yuzvendra Chahal and Mohammad Siraj have also joined the squad post-India-England series wrap.
