Vivo IPL 2021: Total unavailable players for the opening game of each IPL franchise

Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021: Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa will be unavailable for the first couple of games in the IPL 2021. As per RCB, the leggie is getting married and will miss the opening games for RCB.

“Adam Zampa is getting married and he will not be the part of the opening game against Mumbai Indians. We do not have our full contingent of overseas players for the first game,” said RCB director Mike Hessan through a video posted on RCB’s social media handle.

The 28-years old Australian cricketer has as many as 200 T20 scalps in 173 games. He featured in three games for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) last season in UAE.

“It’s an important time for him and it’s something that as a franchise we are aware of and we respect and we hope he has a great time,” said Hesson.

“So, whenever he joins the squad he will be fresh and will make massive contributions to the team.”

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will start their camps on 29th March, a day after India vs England third and last game of the tour.

Skipper Virat Kohli who is in Team India bio-bubble will have a bubble-to-bubble transfer to avoid the seven days quarantine protocols.

According to the SOPs released by BCCI for the forthcoming IPL, players who are making bubble-to-bubble transfers from India vs England series will be relaxed from doing quarantine again.

“We have got players arriving all the way through till 1st of April, which is where we get the NOCs for some of the overseas players, particularly those who are playing,” Hesson said.

“Finn Allen is playing in T20s in New Zealand on the 1st of April; he will be coming the day after. We have got Australians who play up to 31st, likes of Daniel Sams, Kane Richardson. They then jump on a plane and come. ABD [de Villiers] arrives on 28th.

Virat Kohli led RCB will kickstart their IPL 2021 campaign on 09th April against defending champions Mumbai Indians in Chennai.
