ICC T20I Rankings: Team India’s skipper Virat Kohli and his white ball deputy Rohit Sharma gets significant gains in the latest ICC T20I Rankings announced by ICC on Wednesday.

Kohli with his blistering unbeaten knock of 80 runs in the final ODI helped him climb one place to reach fourth while Rohit Sharma powered India’s innings in the powerplay, scored 64 of mere 34 balls helped him climb three spots to reach 14.

According to ICC’s new system, ICC Rankings will be released every week irrespective of the series and games. This ranking took account of the three-match Afghanistan vs Zimbabwe series and the last two T20I games of the India-England series.

Shreyas Iyer with his recent performances in T20Is gained five places to reach his career-best 26th. While Suryakumar Yadav and Rishabh Pant have also made notable gains.

Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar making his comeback in the India England T20I series has moved up 21 ranks to 24th position while his partner Hardik Pandya jumped 47 places to 78th.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar was also awarded the Player of the Match award in the series decider for his calm and sensible spell.

For England, Batsman Dawid Malan is still sitting at the top of ICC T20I batsmen ranking with a good lead after his 68 runs knock in the 5th T20I against India.

Adil Rashid moved one place to fourth in the bowlers ranking while Jofra Archer is up to the 22nd position and Mark Wood also advances to the 27th positon.
