Pakistan's Next Match? Pakistan National Cricket Team Fixture in ICC T20 World Cup 2026 in Group Stage

Pakistan were almost staring at another early heartbreak in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, but one dropped catch changed everything. Against Netherlands, Pakistan slipped badly in a simple chase and seemed destined for embarrassment. Had that crucial chance been taken in the death over, Pakistan would have been labelled as losing to Netherlands yet again. Instead, a late surge kept them alive and gave them the honour of playing the World Cup opener.

Pakistan made hard work of a modest chase after cruising early. A sudden collapse put them under pressure, but Faheem Ashraf turned the game on its head with a fearless penultimate over. Netherlands impressed with intent, yet poor death overs with bat and ball cost them as Pakistan sealed a tense three-wicket win.

A winning result at the end is always nice, and Pakistan will be pleased with it. They have three more matches in the group stage going forward. They are placed in Group A along with four other teams. Let's take a deeper look into the groups and fixtures:
