Team India won the ODI series against South Africa 2-1, with Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma scoring 448 runs. Rohit, who lost nearly 10 kilos ahead of his return to action, has been in excellent form, scoring 202 runs in Australia and two half-centuries against South Africa. After India’s third ODI win, Rohit humorously declined cake, saying, "I'll get fat again if I eat it." Rohit also joined the 20,000-run club during the series.

Following India's resounding victory in the third ODI against South Africa in Visakhapatnam, the team celebrated by cutting a cake at the hotel. Virat Kohli was asked to cut the cake, but he gave the opportunity to Yashasvi Jaiswal , who scored his maiden century to finish the run-chase.

Jaiswal happily cut the cake and celebrated with Kohli, who ate a very small piece. He then offered the cake to Rohit Sharma, who responded in a playful manner. Instead of taking a bite, Rohit said, "No you eat it, I'll get fat again if I eat the cake."

Rohit is in excellent form

On the field, Rohit has been brilliant since his return to India's blue jersey. Playing competitive cricket after more than eight months, Rohit scored 202 runs at an average of 101 in Australia, winning the Player of the Series award. Then, in the home series against South Africa, Rohit scored two more half-centuries. During this period, Rohit also entered the 20,000-run club for India in Visakhapatnam.
