Most wickets in international cricket in 2025 ft. New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy, Kuldeep Yadav

New Zealand Cricket Team pacer Jacob Duffy has been sensational with the ball in 2025. The premier pacer ended the year with the most wickets and is expected to hold the position as he is far far ahead of others in the list.

Jocob Duffy was at his best with the ball in the series against West Indies. He picked up 23 wickets in three games and helped his team win. The premier pacer bagged a fifer in the last match and returned with 5/42 to help his team win.

Overall in 2025, Jacob Duffy took 81 wickets at an average of 17.11. Not only this, but he also bagged four four-wicket hauls and three fifers in the 36 matches this year. He is more than 15 wickets away from the second-placed bowler. 

Zimbabwe’s Blessing Muzarabani is second on the list along with New Zealand’s Matt Henry. Both took 65 wickets in 2025. Both played an important role in the team winning the matches and were sensational across all formats of the game. 

India’s Kuldeep Yadav also features in the list with 60 wickets. He didn’t get much opportunity to play but in the limited games, he was all over the opposition and helped India win crucial games. He was also the Player of the Tournament in the Asia Cup 2025.

Mitchell Starc also features in the list of Most wickets in 2025. He has been terrific in Ashes 2025-26, where he is the leading wicket-taker with 22 wickets with two fifers in the series.
