LEAKED!! MS Dhoni’s Secret Training Routine for IPL 2026 - 4.5 Hours of Training at Age 44

MS Dhoni, the former CSK captain, continues to prove he is one of the fittest and most dedicated players in cricket history, especially at the age of 44. Dhoni, with his intense training routine for the upcoming IPL 2026, stormed the internet. The leaked details clearly show that Dhoni is preparing seriously for the IPL 2026.
According to reports, Dhoni has been following a strict 4.5 hours daily training schedule at JSCA Stadium. His routine includes gym work, power-hitting practice, wicket-keeping drills, and even swimming sessions. Dhoni has been continuously practicing in Ranchi for the past two months to remain fully fit.
MS Dhoni's Daily Routine:
Every day, MS Dhoni arrives at the stadium around 1:30 PM, and he does weight training for an hour in the gym, which also includes core strength exercises and functional training for flexibility. After the gym, Dhoni had an intense two-hour power-hitting practice session to prepare himself for his role as a finisher.
Whenever the center wicket is available and no official match or practice is scheduled, Dhoni does match-like simulation practice to improve his shot selection. MS Dhoni was seen doing short swimming sessions for around 30 minutes to maintain his endurance and muscle recovery.
Why Such Intense Routine?
At the age of 44, usually the speed and reflexes have slowed, but Dhoni’s continued training maintained him to still play cricket with the same intensity and dedication. He is also not playing any domestic or regular cricket, so Dhoni needs to remain in touch by doing practice and simulation.
MS Dhoni to Play IPL 2026:
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) CEO Kasi Viswanathan has confirmed that Dhoni will play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. However, this might be the last season of MS Dhoni as they have traded Sanju Samson in their team, and reports suggest that CSK is looking at Sanju as their future captain.
So, the chances are very high that we may see Dhoni for the last time in the IPL 2026. The role that he used to play in the Chennai Super Kings will now be given to Sanju Samson in Dhoni’s absence.
