Latest Updated ICC TEST Team Rankings; Check Where Indian National Cricket Team Stands!

In the latest ICC Test Rankings, Australia remain dominant at the top, while India rank fourth overall. Jasprit Bumrah leads the bowling charts, and Ravindra Jadeja continues as the world’s No.1 all-rounder.

The ICC has released its latest Test Rankings. As always, there’s plenty to talk about, from Australia maintaining their dominance to India’s slight dip despite a promising start to the year. Let’s take a closer look at where each team and player stands in the updated charts, and how recent results have shaped the global Test landscape.

India’s Position in the Latest ICC Test Rankings

The Indian National Cricket Team currently sits at 4th position in the ICC Test Team Rankings with 3515 points and a rating of 107.

Earlier this year, India participated in an exciting five-match Test series against England, which concluded in a 2-2 draw. The series was a true reflection of India’s fighting spirit, with young players like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill showing immense promise on foreign soil.

However, after that series, India had a short break from red-ball cricket until their recent series against the West Indies. The men in blue made a strong comeback by defeating West Indies by an innings and 140 runs in the first Test.

Australia Still at the Top

Despite a shock defeat in the World Test Championship (WTC) Final against South Africa in June, Australia continues to dominate the rankings with 124 rating points. The Aussies quickly bounced back, producing a clean sweep against the West Indies (3-0) in a home Test series.

England, ranked third, have been relatively quiet in the Test arena since their drawn series against India earlier this year. But that’s about to change. All eyes are now on the Ashes series against Australia, starting November 21, 2025. With the likes of Joe Root, Harry Brook, and Ben Stokes in top form, England will look to reclaim the Ashes and possibly climb up the rankings.

India’s red-ball journey has been a mixed one this year, with moments of brilliance balanced by inconsistency. While the draw against England was respectable, the lack of continuous Test fixtures has somewhat impacted their momentum.

That said, India’s bowling attack, led by Jasprit Bumrah, Siraj, and all-around strength from Ravindra Jadeja, continues to make them one of the most balanced sides in the world. With the upcoming tours, India has a golden opportunity to climb back into the top three.
