Asia Cup 2025: The T20I Asia Cup 2025 is entering its final phase of the group stage, with just four matches remaining. The Indian National Cricket Team has become the first team in the 2025 edition of the Asia Cup to qualify for the Super Fours, thanks to UAE's victory over Oman.

Monday had two contests, one of Group A between Oman and UAE, and the second of Group B between Sri Lanka and Hong Kong. UAE (United Arab Emirates) and Sri Lanka sealed a win for them in the Monday special. 

UAE vs OMAN Match Highlights

The UAE knocked Oman out of the tournament with a clinical 42-run win in Abu Dhabi. Batting first, UAE posted 172/5 thanks to fifties from Muhammad Waseem and Alishan Sharafu before tightening the screws with the ball. Oman’s chase unraveled inside the PowerPlay as Junaid Siddique struck early blows, reducing them to 41/4, and despite some resistance in the middle overs, they were bowled out for 130 in 18.4 overs. 

The result secured India’s spot in the Super 4s, ended Oman’s campaign, and left UAE facing Pakistan in a straight battle for qualification.

Sri Lanka vs Hong Kong Match Highlights

Sri Lanka survived late nerves to clinch a four-wicket win over Hong Kong, thanks largely to Pathum Nissanka’s valiant 68 that overshadowed a flurry of dropped chances. Hong Kong, batting first, posted a competitive 149/4, anchored by Nizakat Khan’s unbeaten half-century and a solid 48 from Anshuman Rath.

Sri Lanka’s chase began shakily and slipped into chaos with a sudden collapse in the death overs, but Nissanka’s earlier assault in the middle overs gave them the cushion they needed before Wanindu Hasaranga finished the job with calm strokes in the 19th over.
