Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah gave a thrashing reply to Ricky Ponting and Justin Langer over India’s head coach role. The two greats of Australian cricket stated that they were approached by the BCCI for the coaching role.

The BCCI is on the hunt for the head coach of Team India. Rahul Dravid reportedly is all set to leave the duties after the T20 World Cup 2024. His tenure as a coach will be ending and he won’t be reapplying for the post as per the various reports.

Since then there have been a lot of talks about the Indian head coach role. Recently Ricky Ponting while talking to media stated that he was approached by the BCCI for the head coach role and he didn’t accept the offer due to family commitments.

Justin Langer on the other hand also stated that he was approached by the BCCI but didn’t accept the role because the Lucknow Super Giants skipper told him that there’s a lot of politics around the head coach position of the team.
