IPL 2024: Ravindra Jadeja’s birthday wish to his “go-to man,” MS Dhoni has taken the internet by storm as netizens hail the chemistry between the two stalwarts of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). MS Dhoni, today, turned 42 and the wishes from all corners of the world poured in to bless the Indian gem.

Considered to be one of the greatest skippers of all time, Dhoni has entered a new chapter of his life. He led his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to the title win in the previous season to equal Mumbai’s record for most title victories (5).

MS Dhoni’s CSK flipped the tables despite facing several challenges and led his team to a memorable title win against Gujarat Titans in the last phase of his cricketing career.

While most of the fans and even experts thought Tata IPL 2023 to be MS Dhoni’s final cricket appearance as a player, the glovesman has denied accepting it as his last. Dhoni has yet not taken a call on his IPL career and is most likely to feature in the next season of the league, given his fitness remains the same.

To add more fuel to the anticipation, Jadeja’s birthday wish to MS Dhoni also gave a bit of indication that the seasoned wicketkeeper will be seen donning yellow colours in the next season of the IPL.

“My go to man since 2009 to till date and forever. Wishing you a very happy birthday mahi bhai. see u soon in yellow #respect,” captioned Ravindra Jadeja, while he attached a photo of him and Dhoni from the 2023 IPL final.

The post has gone viral on social media and fans are in love with the camaraderie. Interestingly, the photo posted by Jadeja on his social media handle is from the IPL 2023 final, one of the rare moments when Dhoni was seen getting emotional.

Talking about MS Dhoni’s career highlights, winning all the major ICC titles comes up as his biggest feat. He took India to a 2007 T20 World Cup win, then followed it by the 2011 World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy victory. The ‘Captain Cool’ led his side to two Asia Cup titles in 2010 and in 2016.

His IPL achievements are second to none. He equalled Rohit Sharma’s record of winning most IPL trophies for a single IPL franchise (5) after winning the Tata IPL 2023 final against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Besides all this, Dhoni has also won the ‘ICC Spirit of Cricket Award’ for the decade 2011-2020. He was conferred with Padma Shri in 2009 and Padma Bhushan in 2018 for his achievements in the field of cricket.

MS Dhoni also received the Parachute Regiment’s honorary rank of Leituinent Coloneal in India’s Territorial Army.
